Bikes From the Ashes

About the client.

The problem.

The client runs an after school program in an underprivileged area, which teaches high schoolers how to repair bikes and meanwhile keeps them off the streets and away from drugs and gangs. They wanted to keep their hideous logo but “modernize” their look and increase overall participation in their program.

Designing the solution.

The website redesign attracts the teenage audience with the grungy feel, handwritten type, and bright colors. The typography and visual elements are energetic and sophisticated, respectably appealing to older audiences including potential business partners and community members looking to get involved.
